Terms of purchase
Last updated 2026-10-26.
- What you buy. A one-time purchase (US$99 for the 0.3 line, ParetoStack-soft; US$199 for the 0.4 line, ParetoStack-cloud; plus any taxes shown at checkout) of ParetoStack for one version line: the command line tool, every release of that line, bug-fix releases included, and the online dashboard (analysis and planning of code you upload; it never runs your code).
- Major releases. A purchase is one-time per major annual release: it covers the version line you bought, every release of that line, bug-fix releases included. A new major release is a new purchase. When one comes out we e-mail the buyers of the previous major release to suggest the update, and we reserve the right to change the price of the new version. Nothing renews by itself.
- Later versions. A later version line (for example 0.4) is not included: it is offered as a separate, supplementary purchase at the price shown then.
- No renewal. This purchase is not a subscription and nothing renews. The versions you downloaded keep working. A later version line may be offered on different terms (for example per year); the terms are stated at the time of purchase, and nothing in this page applies to a line until you buy it.
- Refunds. You can ask for a full refund within 7 days of purchase by writing to support@hpc-labs.ai. A refunded or disputed payment ends the purchase: its downloads stop and its license no longer applies to new versions you download. Versions already installed are not remotely disabled.
- Your code and results. The command line tool runs on your machine. Optimized code is a patch you review and apply; the tool verifies changes against your own program's outputs, but you remain responsible for testing it before you deploy it.
- Cloud tools (version line 0.4 and later). The commands that work on a cloud function or host use your own cloud account and your own credentials, on the machine where you run them. They create throwaway copies, call them and delete them; the real function is not changed, and they refuse to run without
--sandbox, your statement that the account is for testing. The cost ceiling is an estimate, not a guarantee: the cloud charges, and the choice of account, are yours.
- Free static analysis (trial). Any person with a confirmed e-mail address may use the trial for 5 days from the first sign-in, up to 10 reports (5 a day), for code they have the right to analyse. It is free, needs no purchase and carries no warranty; the report counts candidates found by reading the code and states no speed-up. We may limit, pause or end the trial for any account to protect the service. Do not upload code you may not share with a service provider; it is deleted after the report as described in the privacy page.
- Free alpha (ParetoStack-chip, 0.5 line). The alpha is a pre-release given free to anyone who confirms an e-mail address, for evaluation only. It carries no warranty, may contain errors, may change incompatibly and may be withdrawn at any time; its results are tool models, not signoff. A free alpha is not a purchase: it does not include the online dashboard, support or any later version line, and the license file has the same terms of use as a purchased one. We may stop giving it to an address that abuses it.
- No warranty on speed-ups. Measured results are of the machine and the day they were measured; your code may gain less, or nothing.
- Licence. Personal or company use of the downloaded tool under your signed license file, which names the purchase it belongs to; no redistribution of the packages or of the license file, and no removing or bypassing the license check. The personal download link in your purchase e-mail is yours: keep it private; it stops working if the purchase is refunded or disputed.
