  • Update notice (ported from the 0.5 line, 217c497): paretostack update and /update in the assistant say whether a newer version of the SAME product line exists (0.3.x is never pointed at 0.4), from the public https://hpc-labs.ai/releases.json read at most once a day with a 2 s timeout, cached under ~/.cache/paretostack/, silent on any failure; nothing about you, your machine or your code is sent (a plain GET). After an interactive command the notice goes to stderr; the assistant shows it under its banner when interactive. Off with PARETOSTACK_NO_UPDATE_CHECK=1 or PARETOSTACK_OFFLINE=1. paretostack/updates.py, tests/test_updates.py.
